Notes from 2-1-11 Stumble Through

Here are the notes from Tuesday's rehearsal. We are planning on rehearsing on Thursday. We will make a post not later than 5 PM on Thursday if we need to cancel due to inclement weather.

stumble through:

act 1 was 1 hour long

Norris - work pure imagination music with Pam.

everyone make sure to pause for applause

Norris - Wear hat furter back on head so there isnt a shadow

everyone -work on Golden age of chocolate

not everyone was singing, if your supposed to be singing a song , sing it

excellent job on hard freeze bucket family

grandma josephine needs to be louder

Charlie needs to be happy about pie

general rule : charlie needs to be happier

Grandparents : need to top lines

Grandparents have great character

Tjade - good job

candy kids looked bored. if you're onstage, you need to be in character, even if you dont know what your doing

Lauren K -good job

Mr and Mrs Bucket need to look more in love

Phineous - hold microphone in upstage hand

Mrs. gloop - good job

Veruca needs to be more bipoler, needs to go from sweet to mean on a dime

Mr . salt needs to be amused rather then shocked when Phineous calls Vuruca ''Veronica''

Dont say '' yall''! You aren't in Texas anymore (unless you're the Salts, which are from Dallas)

No scripts onstage , you're supposed to be off book.

Pick up the pace, dont let the scene drag. Dont let there be giant pauses.

Mike needs a clear accent; Better diction. It can still be a thick accent!

Mike-Work on song whith Pam

Richard - Good job

Be careful with improvising. if you add a line, make sure it adds to the scene, not distracts.

Snow and wind Oompa Loompas need to be more graceful

Jessie leaving the coin is perfect

Norris - line to Veruca about moles and bunions is too slow

Million And One Nuts - Mrs. Salt needs to laugh

Dave Chrisman right now steals the show hands down. Samuel Pillion is a close second.

I look forward to seeing everyone thursday. :-)
