ALL CAST
SATURDAY NIGHT, 8:00 pm - WONKA NIGHT at ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN (optional)
This show has been very well received by large, enthusiastic audiences. However, for whatever reason, next weekend is not heavily sold, and we can still at this writing have room for much of the Wonka cast to see this show. We will be giving out a coupon at rehearsal for a free concession item for castmembers to attend next weekend. If you can't attend Saturday, come another day, but most of the cast will be coming Saturday.

Willy Wonka Cast and Parents - Important Info - Please read
Willy Wonka Cast, Parents, and Production Team
We are pleased with the way this show is coming together. We need your assistance in the following areas:
Cast Ticket Sales
We request that each cast member sell a minimum of 10 tickets at the discounted $12 cast ticket price. The prices for Willy Wonka tickets are normally $16 adult, $14 senior, and $12 student with an additional $2 ticketing software fee. Cast ticket sales allow us to lower our costume fees, provide a significant discount for your family and friends, and sell tickets to the first few shows so that word of mouth helps sell out the remaining shows. Please use the attached Willy Wonka Ticket Order Form to record your ticket sales. The attachment provides all the information that you need to sell discounted tickets. You can turn your forms in every time you sell 10 tickets, you don’t have to wait until you sell all the tickets that you think you can sell.
Please take the time to call at least 10 family members and friends and sell them tickets to the show, post ticket info on your facebook page, and email all of your family, friends, and co-workers with the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets. The cutoff date for cast ticket sales is Saturday, February 12. You also get one free ticket for every 10 tickets that you sell. The cast member selling the most tickets will win a iPod nano and 2 tickets to the next 8 HFAC Main Stage and TAG shows.
Costume and Script Fees
A requirement for being cast in this production is to pay a $75 costume and a $25 refundable deposit for any actor receiving a script. All costume and script fees must be paid by Saturday, January 22, 2011, or your role in the show is in jeopardy. Adults may waive the costume fee if they secure their own costume that is approved by Lindsay Burns, Willy Wonka Costume Designer. Checks should be given to Kaitlyn Paradiso, Willy Wonka Assistant Stage Manager or to Bob Clark, Willy Wonka Producer.
Performance dates for Double Cast Roles
We have several roles that have been double cast. We have identified a Chocolate Cast and a Candy Cast. The Chocolate cast is Michelle Brown Stevens, Samuel Pillion, Lucas Phillips, Addison Gaetano, Cheznay Dones, and Mihir Kulkarni. The Candy cast is Jody Haas, Caroline Harper, Chase Godwin, Christie Boriack, Leila Jammal, and Mihir Kulkarni. The Candy cast will perform on Friday, March 4, and the entire second weekend. The Chocolate cast will perform on Saturday, March 5, and the entire closing weekend.
BIOS and Break-a-Leg Ads
Our programs include bios for each actor/actress and break-a-leg ads for parents, grandparents, family, and friends who want to give a word of encouragement to their actor/actress. Break-a-leg ads cost $5 per line in the program. For this show we have also added options for ¼ page, ½ page, and full page break-a-leg ads. Pricing and ad format information is included in the Willy Wonka Playbill Break-A-Leg attachment.
In order to be fair to the entire cast we have very specific guidelines regarding the format for cast bios and break-a-leg ads. Samples are attached for your reference. The guidelines follow:
Bios can be no more than 4 lines long. The maximum number of characters is 389 with spaces. Most bios will contain between 60 to 65 words. The bios must fit exactly as they are shown in the attachments. The page is exactly 5 inches wide and the font is Arial size 8. The actor's name is in bold and their character's name follows in ( ). The names of previous shows should always be in italics. We will edit any bio that exceeds the 4 lines guideline.
Break-a-leg ads are $5 per line. A line can be no more than 97 characters with spaces. Most break-a-leg ads will contain between 14 to 18 words. The ads must fit exactly as they are shown in the attachments. The page is exactly 5 inches wide and the font is Arial size 8. The actor's name is in bold and their character's name follows in ( ).
Due to the large number of actors in this cast all bios and break-a-leg ads must be emailed to Cheryl Mills, HFAC Administrative Assistant, by Monday, February 14, 2011. Her email address is cheryl.mills@houstonfac.com. You don’t have to wait until February 14 to email this info to Cheryl.
Program Ad Sales
Houston Family Arts Center produces a professional playbill for our shows. We sell ad space in our playbills to help cover the cost of printing the programs. If you have a business, or you work for a company that you think may want to advertise in our program, please review the attached HFAC Advertising Contract. Please complete the contract and email it or bring it by our office by Monday, February 21, 2011 with your ad copy and payment info. Ads need to be camera ready. We prefer .jpeg or .pdf format. We can also scan business cards. For an additional charge of $50 we can design an ad for you. A sample copy of our program is attached for you to share with your company’s advertising decision makers.
Thanks for your support.
